How Does it Work?

Whose story are you going to tell? Is there a single event you want memorialized for your children or grandchildren, or a full biography of someone special in your life?

The Story

I have 3 young kids. A few years ago I was reading the kids some pointless children's book about a Unicorn Cat and thought- this is the equivalent of feeding my kids Wonderbread!

I decided that I wanted to make illustrated children's books for them based on stories of our ancestors- stories that would connect them with our heritage and teach them valuable lessons.

Most modern children's books have very rudimentary, simple drawings or sketches (that are as rich as the stories themselves). I wanted my books to be full of rich, detailed images that conveyed what life was really like.

Now, with the help of modern art creation techniques, we create stories and illustrations that are high quality and complex.

The Incredible Benefits for Kids

"Researchers found that when parents share family stories, children tended to view their family as stronger, their self-esteem was higher, they showed lower levels of anxiety or nervousness, they had fewer behavior problems and they were better able to deal with the effects of stress." -YaeBin Kim, Child Development Specialist

What's in the Book?

Take a look inside the books and see what they look like and the stories they tell.

Maybe we've already made a book for one of your ancestors- you can see your relationship on Family Search.

Mom really doesn't need another candle or a fancy blanket. Order a book for her about her mother or grandmother, and get a copy for each of the kids or grandkids!

Even Thrift Stores won't take your old family reunion t-shirts! Instead, create a storybook for the family that will connect them with their roots.

Mother's Day / Father's Day

Dad really doesn't need a new tie. Why not turn his grandpa's World War I experience into a storybook and give a copy to each of your cousins?

Christmas

Ask your grandkids if they remember what you got them for Christmas last year (they don't). Give them a gift that will connect them with their heritage and will serve to inspire them when times are hard.
